History of OPF Boys College H 8 Islamabad

At educational sector, H-8/4, a captivating X-shaped building with its façade of an opened book, erects tall to attract many education loving students and parents. Aiming to promote quality education and acknowledging the confidence posed by Pakistani Diaspora in education sector, Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation established OPF Boys College under Mishal Schools and College Project in September, 2001. The college was constructed on 4.5 acres with 2 acres extra reserved for a hostel. Starting classes during the on-going session, ostensibly, was one of the biggest challenges for both the administration and the faculty; however, in short span of time, the college, with the help of its dedicated and professionally motivated team, made itself ubiquitous among the education circle of Islamabad. This progress can be measured through the figure of 1450 students enrolled here in the current year, which was just 72 in 2001. Proportionally, the number of teachers also grew from 13 in 2001 to 64 in 2018. Along with catering to needs of the children of Overseas Pakistanis, OPF Boys College also offers admissions to the children of the citizens of Pakistan on open merit. Equipped with imposing infrastructure, staffed by experienced faculty and inspired by its noble mission, the college offers ideal environment to the students, where they can furnish themselves with requisite knowledge base, and utilize their energies to prepare themselves intellectually, morally and physically to brave the challenges of modern times with enthusiasm and courage.
